“Leadership in Medicine: The Key to Improving Our System”
Denis A. Cortese, MD, Director, Healthcare Delivery and Policy Program, Arizona State University; Emeritus President and CEO, Mayo Clinic
We all know that healthcare is in deep trouble. And we know that time is running out. This discussion will focus on our current delivery “system” and the role of leadership in creating a new, more effective and efficient system. If providers want to retain their authority in healthcare delivery, they must collectively take responsibility and accountability for their quality and costs of care. Designing, developing strategies and tactics, and implementing a new system of healthcare is the role for leadership.
All attendees will receive a free copy of Dr. Cortese’s book, Rescuing Healthcare: A Leadership Prescription to Make Healthcare What We All Want it to Be.
