Deaths from drug overdoses continue to increase across the U.S. and in Colorado. Both prescribed opioids and illicit heroin and fentanyl cause over 33,000 deaths per year in the U.S., over 500 per year in Colorado. In this session, participants will learn more about the scope and impact of the problem, including tools and strategies for collaboration in prescription drug abuse prevention at the national, state and local levels.
